Cleaning a Wooden Chopping Board
Sprinkle some salt on your chopping board and rub half a lemon or lime around the whole area.  The salt scrubs and the citrus disinfects.  Leave for around ten minutes then rinse and dry.  Do this on a regular basis to keep the germs away.

Cleaning Grout
Make a paste with lemon juice and baking soda.  Using an old toothbrush, scrub the grout lines with the paste and leave to dry.  Clean the tiles and grout with a bathroom cleaner.  For tough stains, add some peroxide to the paste.

Spray Disinfectant
Mix together 2 cups of water, 1 cup of lemon/lime juice, 1/2 cup of white vinegar and 1/2 cup of rubbing alcohol.  For a lovely smell add a few drops of essential oil such as eucalyptus, clove, sandalwood or orange.  Pour in a spray bottle and get cleaning.  Great for work surfaces, sinks and draining boards, bathrooms, taps to name a few..

Bleach Alternative
Mix together 2 cups of peroxide with 2 cups of lemon juice, pour in a gallon container and fill with water.  This solution is a great all round disinfectant cleaner and is also a great fabric softener, whitener and brightener.  Store the container in a dark place because of the peroxide.  The solution can be used in a spray bottle to clean around your home and as a spot stain remover on your clothes and fabrics.

Room Spray to give your Home a Lovely Scent
Mix into a spray bottle 160z of lemon and lime juice and 2 tablespoons of peroxide or white vinegar (adjust depending on size of spray bottle).  Fill the rest of the bottle with distilled water or floral water such as rosewater.  Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil such as ylang ylang, clove, orange, geranium, rose, sandalwood, etc.
